Motion to amend point 4 of Report 188/2018:

"That in the event of the Purchaser’s bankruptcy or insolvency, or should the property cease to be used for social housing purposes at any stage, Dublin City Council reserves the right to take possession of the units at no cost to the Council, save in the case of a financial institution which has entered into a mortgage with the purchasers."

The amendment would delete the text "save in case of financial institution which has entered into a mortgage with the purchasers", and replace that with "and that Dublin City Council retains first claim to the property ahead of any financial institution which has entered into a mortgage with the purchasers".

So the amended point 4 would read:

"That in the event of the Purchaser’s bankruptcy or insolvency, or should the property cease to be used for social housing purposes at any stage, Dublin City Council reserves the right to take possession of the units at no cost to the Council, and that Dublin City Council retains first claim to the property ahead of any financial institution which has entered into a mortgage with the purchasers."
